There’s an International flavour to Bingo Radio this month as we go on an extended vacation.

 Of course, we’d never get anywhere without a mode of transport so during the live show this month there will be various songs that mention planes, trains, cars, bikes, boats and more. Each time you hear one, simply send the word mentioned in the song title (e.g. JET PLANE) to studio@bingoradio.com for a chance to win £3! 

Between 8-9pm we go Around the World with some of the world’s biggest artists – but do you know their true nationality? We’ll be asking you where some of the biggest names in music have their roots. If you can name the country they’re associated with you can win £3. 

We’ve sent A Village Idiot Abroad all this month, with Wally jetting around the planet on a worldwide voyage. Each night at 9pm he’ll be phoning in with clues as to his location and if you think you know where he is, you could win up to £10! 

The Game Village 10@10 returns each weeknight from 10pm with more chances to request some of your favourite songs. Remember – if your song is played you will win £2 (1,000 points for non-homeowners). Emails for the Game Village 10@10 accepted between 9.45 and 10.15pm. 

Finally, did you know that many artists have recorded foreign language versions of their hits? Everyone from Blondie, David Bowie, Phil Collins – er, even Bucks Fizz have done it. Whenever you hear a song that doesn’t sound quite how it should, email its English name to studio@bingoradio.com and you could win £3!

Bingo Radio is back tonight with our Halloween spooktacular from 7pm!

You can expect a selection of ghoulish songs and some blood-curdling competitions!

At various points in the evening you’ll be invited to play Trick or Treat with the chat hosts. You’ll need to pick one of the hosts who have recorded a special message which could be a trick or a treat – if you’re chosen to play and you bag a treat, it could be worth anything up to £10! 

Wolfy will be loose tonight. When you hear him howl, email the word WOLFY to studio@bingoradio.com and you could win £3 each time around. 

At 8.30pm you’ll be invited to guess the weight of the enormous Bingo Radio Pumpkin in stones and lbs – it really is that big! Whoever comes closest can win that amount in cash (for example, if it’s 2 stones and 4 lbs that means you can win £2.40) 

We have a special Game Village 10 @ 10 with wall-to-wall Halloween requests, worth £3 each. Requests can be sent to studio@bingoradio.com from 9.45pm onwards. 

Halloween is all about surprises – not necessarily nasty – so keep listening for more details of on-the-spot competitions and prizes throughout the evening.

Well, BINGO RADIO is officially three years old as of today (Sunday) and we’re live on-air from 5pm with giveaways, requests and some nostalgia. The chat hosts are getting involved too, don’t miss out!

As you may have already noticed, this month Bingo Radio is celebrating its third birthday! We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who’s helped to make the station a success since our launch on October 9^th 2008.

Throughout October we’ll be revisiting some of the past promos and games that have featured on the station, with a chance to win one of many, many £3 prizes each weeknight from 7pm. Plus, on Sunday 9^th October, we have a very special birthday show lined up with even more chances to win BIG prizes! Please join us from 5pm on Sunday until we’re all exhausted!

Hello everyone. The live show is taking a break until Wednesday night while we get ready to celebrate Bingo Radio’s third birthday with a special show this coming Sunday 9th October.

In the meantime, if you press the red Radio button on the Game Village game screen at around 9pm TONIGHT (Monday) you will be able to hear a revised repeat of what we recorded on Saturday from the Ivy Hotel in Swindon.

There are quick chats with chat hosts, players, dedications and requests all squeezed into 2 hours. You’ll also hear some party favourites to remind you of the night.

A special thank you from me to everyone who came over with a present (espeically those that were edible or drinkable – all now gone!) and in particular elveress50′s 7-year-old grandson who make a wonderful poster for me which is now on the Bingo Radio studio wall (if only I had that much hair!)

 Mark will be taking his summer break from the 27^th of July, returning on Thursday 4^th August with next month’s new games and competitions. Bingo Radio will still be playing all of your favourite songs, but the live show will be off the air while Mark’s away.

June on Bingo Radio

This month we put on our rose-tinted spectacles at Bingo Radio and cast our minds back to a time when Game Village was all fields. Yes, June is nostalgia month and we’ll be taking you on a trip down memory lane with our live show each weekday night from 7pm.

Battle of the Decades – we love the 60s, but we like the 80s too – which is best? There’s only one way to find out! In the first few days of the month, you’ll have a chance to vote for your favourite musical decade and once we’ve added up all the requests from the Game Village 10 @ 10 for the whole month, if you’ve chosen the decade with the most requests, you’ll share in a £100 prize! Listen at 7pm and 11pm for details of how to enter.

Memories – how much attention are you paying when you listen to Bingo Radio? Your concentration could be rewarded each time you hear the opening bars to the Elaine Paige song “Memory” (from the musical Cats). If you email the name of the song just played to studio@bingoradio.com it could win you £5. It could happen any time during the live show.
