Some frequently asked questions…

What type of music do you play?

All your favourite artists – from current stars like Rihanna, Kylie, Michael Buble, Beyonce, Boyzone and Take That, travelling back through the 90s (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion), the 80s (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Meat Loaf), the 70s (ABBA, Rod Stewart, Elton John) right back to the Beatles, the Stones, Elvis and much, much more!

What can I expect to hear?

In the daytime, there is a mixture of music from five decades. A lot of the music played is based on previous requests from Game Village players – we regularly compile a Top 50 of the most-requested songs. You’ll also hear short clips of what the station sounds like in the evening when it’s live. There are occasional announcements to remind you about competitions too.

Then, in the evening, the station comes alive with our regular presenter, playing a cross-section of requests, with games and competitions and even players on the phone taking part in some of the features.

Who are the presenters?

At the moment, Bingo Radio‘s senior presenter is Mark Wright who has been with the station since it launched in October 2008. Mark has worked for several commercial radio stations around the UK but has made Bingo Radio his home for the past 20 months.

Can I make requests?

Yes absolutely, but only during a live show. At the moment, Bingo Radio is live between 7pm and midnight on weekday evenings. Just send an email to studio@bingoradio.com with your request and listen out to hear it played. Bingo Radio has accesss to hundreds of thousands of songs, so there’s a very good chance Mark will be able to play your favourite.

What can I win?

Cash, mostly. And your winnings will be automatically be deposited into your account within seconds. Keep an eye on this blog for details of forthcoming competitions and ways in which you can join in.

How do I listen?

For most listeners, it should be simply a case of clicking on the Bingo Radio logo, wherever you see it. On the game window, look for the red “Radio” button just about where you type in the live chat. A window will open up and Bingo Radio should start to play automatically, but if you have “pop-up blocker” software installed, you may need to give permission for the station to start streaming. Also, you may notice a bar along the top of the radio window asking you to install a “plug-in”. This is perfectly safe and normal.

How much does it cost?

Bingo Radio is absolutely free to listen to – there is no subscription to pay or any charge whatsoever.
